Deep body, low acidity, dark chocolate up front. Kenya's top grade of coffee, roasted in small batches in Canada.
Kenya AA is the largest, densest bean grade Kenya produces. Ours comes from family farms in Central Kenya, grown on volcanic soil at about 2,000 metres (6,600 feet). Slow growth at that height packs the bean with sugar and flavour.
Tasting notes: citrus, floral, dark chocolate

Sourced from Fairtrade certified cooperatives
Tobmarc is a small family business that specializes in East African coffee. Our Kenya AA comes from Fairtrade certified cooperatives in Kenya, owned by the smallholder farmers who grow the coffee. Fairtrade certification means those cooperatives meet independent standards for fair pay, farmer democracy and sustainable farming.
Journey From Farm to Cup
Our coffee beans embark on a transformative journey from the family-owned farms in the Central Kenya region to the roasting facilities in Canada. Here, the beans are roasted in small batches. The expertise of our roasters, combined with the high-quality beans, results in a coffee that is not just a beverage but an experience.
How to brew it
- Pour over or drip: 20 g coffee to 320 ml water, medium fine grind
- French press: 30 g to 500 ml, coarse grind, steep 4 minutes
- Espresso: 18 g in, about 36 g out, in 25 to 30 seconds
Grind just before brewing. Store the sealed bag somewhere cool and dark, not in the fridge.
